Captain Chad grew up sailing the waters of Charleston, soloing his first sailboat at the age of 7. He raced sailboats extensively for many years and won or placed in a handful of National Championships in various classes. He has taught hundreds of children and adults to sail. He even won the Rockville regatta in the Sea Island One Design class, a boat that only exists in Charleston.
