About
This gem of a paddle spot is a nature-lover’s dream, where an expansive, yet well-protected area awaits your exploration. As we navigate our way around this “bay within a bay,” we’ll explore the various tributaries that branch off from it while watching the fish jump and observing the multitude of local bird species, including Osprey, the Great Blue Heron, and even the American Bald Eagle! In the summer months Hogtown has spectacular views of the sunset, making this a great choice for evening gatherings and romantic outings. This launch point also has a large parking area and county-maintained restrooms, making it popular for large groups.
While you’re there, don’t forget to check out The Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County, a Local Arts Agency that supports the arts through leadership, advocacy, funding, programs and education. Pair up your paddle tour with one of their frequent events or workshops and immerse yourself in our local culture with a day full of enrichment, education, and exploration!
